Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tractor Trailer Operator to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers on assigned routes, completing pickups and deliveries on schedule, and maintaining full compliance with applicable safety regulations and company policies. This role requires professionalism, strong attention to detail, and a consistent commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailers safely on assigned routes; complete pickups and deliveries on time Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Secure loads properly and ensure freight is handled in accordance with safety requirements Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including trip records, delivery paperwork, and vehicle inspections Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding ETAs, delays, route changes, and customer site requirements Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company procedures related to commercial driving and cargo handling Assist with route planning as needed to improve efficiency and fuel management Support loading and unloading activities when required; use equipment safely where applicable

Requirements

Valid Class 1 (tractor-trailer) commercial driver's licence with required endorsements

Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience

Strong knowledge of safety protocols, cargo securement, and compliance requirements Comfortable operating manual transmissions (if applicable to the fleet) Clean driving record with no major violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset at delivery and pickup locations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
