Overview

BTT Services Limited, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia is currently seeking individuals as a mobile heavy commercial trailer technician. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in working with tractor trailers. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailer systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Looking for someone who is energetic and has a great work ethic. This individual will be equipped with a work truck that is stocked with materials and parts to complete all work on chassis and containers and be expected to work with the mechanics in the garage when the workload is heavy, or weather conditions does not allow for work outside.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer systems, including brakes and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections on trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assemble and disassemble trailer components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Those with heavy equipment repair experience will be considered priority in the resume selection. You must be bondable as a criminal background check will be performed by CN Rail to work within the CN Intermodal yard. The successful candidate must have a valid Nova Scotia driver's license to operate BTT Services equipment.

Pay is negotiable based on experience and mechanical inclination with the option of health care, vision and dental benefits.

BTT Services Limited is a small business based within the CN Intermodal Yard in Halifax and is a container and Chassis repair business. Currently BTT Services has a close working relationship to many large customers to provide a service that is reliable, safe and of quality that meets our clients needs. We supply everyday repairs, MVI's, snow removal and service calls with our trucks that are equipped as mobile garages for on site and off-site repairs. Our staff works as a team and closely together with open communication that embraces teamwork, respect, quality of life at work, personal growth and occupations health and safety.
