Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently removing snow and ice from designated areas to ensure safe access for vehicles and pedestrians. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of snow removal equipment.

Duties

Operate snow plow trucks and other snow removal equipment safely and effectively. Clear snow from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas. Use hand tools and power tools as needed for snow removal and maintenance tasks. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in landscape maintenance tasks such as garden irrigation and digging when not engaged in snow removal. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Respond promptly to changing weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating snow plow equipment or similar machinery is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to maintain and troubleshoot equipment. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and maintenance tasks. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including extreme cold and heavy snowfall. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driver's license is required; a commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
