Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude, driving expertise, and the ability to handle various roadside situations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed and tow trucks to recover and transport vehicles safely. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other lifting devices. Perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs when necessary to prepare vehicles for towing. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients professionally during stressful situations. Manage conflict resolution effectively when dealing with distressed customers or challenging scenarios. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including vehicle details and locations. Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness. Follow all safety protocols related to mechanical operations, driving, and roadside assistance.

Requirements

Valid 1A/3A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbeds, is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair. Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive repair tools. Ability to load & unload vehicles safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches. Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally. Experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, or mechanic work is a plus. Ability to drive safely under various weather conditions and on different terrains. Prior experience with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
