Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate MUST have a valid 1A or 3A licensee and be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the tow truck and related equipment. This role requires a strong knowledge of automotive systems, mechanical skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. The Tow Truck Driver plays a crucial part in ensuring timely vehicle recovery and roadside assistance.

Duties

Operate flatbed and tow trucks safely to recover and transport vehicles across various locations. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches, ensuring secure placement during transit. Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and minor repairs when necessary to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness. Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, including vehicle condition, location, and time of service. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients courteously during stressful situations. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while driving commercial vehicles, including manual transmission operations. Perform routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment; report any maintenance needs or issues promptly. Assist with other duties such as conflict management with clients or other drivers when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge. Strong understanding of automotive repair procedures and troubleshooting. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently, including flatbed tow trucks. Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving preferred. (1A and/or 3A) Mechanical aptitude with mechanic experience is highly desirable. Skilled in load & unload operations using forklifts or other lifting equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally. Ability to work independently in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
