Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in providing roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services to our customers. Your ability to operate towing equipment safely and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

Operate tow trucks and other towing equipment safely and efficiently. Respond promptly to calls for roadside assistance, including vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and other emergencies. Assess the situation at the scene and make informed decisions to determine the best method for towing or recovering vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and addressing their needs. Maintain clear and effective communication with dispatchers, supervisors and customers to coordinate towing activities, provide updates and address any concerns or issues. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tow truck and its equipment to ensure safe operation. Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles to ensure safe towing practices. Maintain accurate records of services provided, including vehicle details and incident reports. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. Must adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies related to towing operations. This includes maintaining a clean driving record and demonstrating safe driving practices in various conditions as well as adhering to the requirement to don Class 3 High Visibility apparel.

Experience

MTO Tow License considered an asset, training will be provided to those who require. Must be able to provide a clean criminal record and judicial matters check Proven experience in commercial driving is required; a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Must have 3 years experience (named insured) on Class 43 vehicles (Tow Truck) or similar relatable experience. Mechanical knowledge is considered an asset. Strong customer service skills are necessary to interact positively with clients during stressful situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$34.00 per hour

Schedule:

Evening shift Monday to Friday Night shift Overtime Weekends as needed
