Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and automotive repair skills, along with excellent customer service abilities. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing roadside assistance to customers in need. This role requires a commitment to safety, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in various conditions.

Duties

Operate tow trucks and other vehicles safely and efficiently. Respond promptly to calls for roadside assistance, including vehicle towing and recovery. Assess the condition of vehicles and determine the appropriate towing method. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during stressful situations. Perform minor automotive repairs when necessary to assist stranded motorists. Maintain accurate records of services rendered, including mileage and fuel consumption. Conduct regular inspections of towing equipment to ensure safety compliance. Assist in loading and unloading vehicles onto tow trucks using proper techniques. Collaborate with dispatchers to prioritize calls and manage time effectively.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; a clean driving record is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair are highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience in commercial driving or towing operations is an advantage. Forklift operation experience is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.
