Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Total Rewards Co-op to join our People Services department. This role will provide support to the Employee Services team in the areas of employee records, pension, benefits, payroll, compensation and reporting, The ideal candidate is eager to learn and contribute to our team's success.

Responsibilities


--------------------

Support timely processing of master data updates related to benefits, pension and pay within HRIS system and 3rd party administrators. Execute or action routine reports. Complete or audit tasks related to the employee life cycle including onboarding and offboarding of employees. Support employee giving campaigns, employee share purchase plan, benefit enrolments, and compensation processes. Provide support with cyclical and yearend priorities including communication updates, reminders, and follow-ups. Oversee incoming email, forms, mail and phone calls. Perform other routine and ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a relevant degree program (e.g. Human Resources, Business Administration). Experience in reporting, payroll, benefits, or pensions is an asset.

Other Qualifications


------------------------

Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficient in data entry and time management, ensuring employee information is consistently accurate and up-to-date. General HR knowledge on policies and procedures, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SharePoint and SAP experience is an asset.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
