Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various CNC and manual machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with a variety of tools and programming languages. The Machine Operator will play a critical role in ensuring efficient production workflows, quality standards, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Operate tortilla-production equipment, including nixtamal grinders, dough mixers, tortilla presses, ovens, and packaging machines. Set up machines daily, adjusting settings for masa texture, tortilla size, and production volume. Monitor and verify product quality using scales, thermometers, thermometers, and visual checks to ensure consistency and accuracy. Read and follow production sheets, recipes, and batch specifications with precision. Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting to reduce downtime and keep equipment running smoothly. Safely handle bags of corn, corn dough, and packaged product; operate pallet jack for material movement as needed. Assist with packaging, labeling, and storing finished tortillas, chips, salsas, and other MAiiZ products. Maintain strict hygiene and food-safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience operating machinery in food production or similar environments. Basic understanding of mechanical assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Experience with hand tools, measuring devices (calipers, scales), and packaging equipment. Knowledge of food safety standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision. Basic math skills for measurements and ensuring product specifications.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
