Completion of accredited legal assistant and/or law clerk program required
Knowledge of accident benefits and the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule* Knowledge of OCF forms
Knowledge of LAT proceedings
Knowledge of tort and the Rules of Civil Procedure* Excellent use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Job Duties
Requesting productions
Drafting and preparing correspondence to opposing counsel, insurance companies and clients
Managing and satisfying documentary disclosure, s. 33 requests and undertakings
Scheduling Case Conferences, LAT motions, Examination for Discoveries, Mediations, Pre-trials, Motions, client calls and settlement calls in a timely manner
Drafting and submitting Case Conference Summaries, LAT Applications, Notices of Examination, Affidavits of Documents
Corresponding with insurers, AB and Tort counsel and other law firms
File management
Skills and Specifications
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere
Exceptional administrative, organizational, analytical and time management skills
Excellent work ethics and a strong attention to detail
Advanced writing skills to prepare legal correspondence and complete forms
Excellent oral and communication skills

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
