Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Torch Operator at or growing recycling facility. This role requires an attention to detail, physical dexterity, and a commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the torch equipment for cutting and welding metals Understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine proper cuts and shapes Inspect and test materials for quality assurance before and after cutting Adjust and manipulate torch settings to achieve desired cuts and shapes Work with team members to ensure safe and efficient production processes Perform routine maintenance on torch equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while operating the torch equipment

Requirements:

Ability to operate and maintain torch cutting equipment safely and effectively Knowledge of different types of torches, gases, and cutting tips Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle torch equipment and manipulate materials Familiarity with different types of metals, thicknesses, and grades Attention to detail to ensure precise cuts and measurements Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 - 50 per week
