Job Description

Minimum Requirements:



Must have a minimum 2+ years of working experience as a Topman/Topwoman or equivalent experience. Must be able to provide inspections and read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and reports. Various shifts, project dependent, up to 12-hour days Willing to work evenings and weekends Hourly rate is dependent on experience

Conducting elevation shots, reading grade, and ensuring the pipe is being properly placed in the ground. Communicating with the Superintendent, Operators, and Crew members. Providing continuous inspections of pipes for cracks or deficiencies. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and reports. Use and knowledge of various levels. Oversee the water and pumps within the trenches. Knowledge of fusion joining is considered an asset.

Experience and Certification Requirements:



Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Topman/Topwoman for various sewer and water projects or equivalent experience required. Must have a strong understanding of reading grade. Must understand surveying. Must be able to do elevation shots. Must be able to read and understand drawings. CSTS-09 or 2020, WHMIS 2015, Ground disturbance 201, fall protection required (may be provided upon hire with conditions). A reliable means of transportation is required. Proficient English language skills required.

Education:

Completion of high school or equivalent is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Work Location: In person
