A global Automotive Parts Manufacturer in the Woodstock, ON area is currently seeking a
Tooling Engineer
to join their facility. The ideal candidate has minimum 3 years in injection mold design/mold tooling experience. This is a full-time and direct hire position, comes with a great benefit package. Must be able to go to business trip to US facilities.
Tooling Engineer Responsibilities Include:
Perform assembly and testing of machine components
Install the components/equipment into the machine safely using hand tools
Document the test results and make reports on the components
Manage inventory control for the new materials and finished products
Inspect and repair the machine shipped from the customers
Hands-on tooling installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance as needed
Creation of progress reports and analysis reports
Tracking of tool and material inventory; ensure adherence to material and production budgets
Other duties as assigned
Tooling Engineer Requirements Include:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical, Design or engineering preferred
Experience in electrical, mechanical, and networking machines is a plus
Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
Basic understanding of computer numerical controls CNC and PLC is a plus
Strong Knowledge of injection mold design/mold tooling and Plastic materials
Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to collaborate with other colleagues and departments
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.*
