About the Opportunity

Bourgault Industries is looking for a motivated engineering student with a passion for design to join our team in St. Brieux, SK. We\'re hiring a Tooling Design Engineering Intern, beginning in January 2023.

As a Tooling Design Engineering Intern, you will design tools required in the manufacturing of Bourgault equipment, such as tools for welding, mill fixtures, and others. You will implement process improvements to increase production efficiencies and process engineering changes by entering routings and designing tooling to manufacture new and revised parts.

Some of your job responsibilities will include:

• Design tooling and/or processes to improve safety, quality, or productivity issues

• Develop and document standard work procedures

• Design processes and process layouts to minimize waste
• Implement lean manufacturing principles
• Manage projects aimed at improving process flow while optimizing space, quality, safety, and ergonomics
• Catalogue, organize and develop maintenance schedules for all tooling

About You

To qualify, you must be a current engineering student who is eligible for internship. Experience in manufacturing or agriculture is a huge asset!

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program (minimum of 3rd year, mechanical/industrial focus is preferred)
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft office and 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• High degree of analytical thought and creativity
• Effective trouble-shooting & problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Willing to (temporarily) relocate to St. Brieux, SK.
• Possess a valid driver\'s license
