Tooling Setup Technician

highly skilled in Automotive & Manufacturing environment.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Install, align, secure tooling and fixtures on carousels and other designated machines as per setup sheets.

Confirm correct tool selection and configuration for the product being manufactured.

Set and adjust machine parameters to meet product and process requirements.

Conduct trial runs and make refinements as needed to ensure product quality and consistency.

Perform setups on multiple types of equipment used in the filter manufacturing process, including manual, semi-automated, and automated systems.

Perform tool inspection and fill up document to plan the tool changeover

Support changeovers to reduce downtime and improve line efficiency.

Collaborate with operators and maintenance staff to address and troubleshoot setup-related issues.

Assist in training operators on equipment setup procedures as required.

Coordinate the timely flow of new and used tooling to and from external coating suppliers to ensure uninterrupted production.

Maintain organized storage and proper allocation of all tooling within designated areas to support efficient access and inventory control.

Maintain accurate records of setup parameters, tooling configurations, and equipment issues.

Ensure all documentation complies with safety and quality standards.

Ability to adhere and complete work within specified timelines.

Must be prepared to work on various shifts with supervision.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years in a tool setup or technician role in a manufacturing environment; experience with filter manufacturing or similar industry is an asset.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial technology preferred.

Proficient in setting up and adjusting a variety of mechanical and automated equipment.

Ability to read and interpret production schedules, blueprints, and setup documentation.

Familiarity with machine interfaces, and mechanical tools.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Able to work independently under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
