Tool & Die Maker Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a Tool & Die Maker Assistant to support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of injection molds in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on injection molds, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection for damage and wear, and reassembly
Troubleshoot and repair molds while in production to minimize downtime
Mill
Lathe
Grinders
Radial arm drill
CNC sinker EDM
CNC vertical milling centers
Use CAD/CAM software (Mastercam) to analyze, design, program, and run CNC equipment
Perform detailed handwork such as Dremel grinding, polishing, blending, and texture repair to improve mold function and part appearance
Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Requirements
Enrollment in or completion of a
Tool & Die Maker (430A)
orMold Maker (431A)
apprenticeship program Ability to read basic technical drawings Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Commitment to safety and qualityPreferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a toolroom or manufacturing environment Basic knowledge of CNC machining and mold components
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
