Job description:

To efficiently provide quality and timely workmanship in maintaining and improving production tooling in support of the press shop delivery commitments. This can be performed in either the designated tool room or the press shop.



Afternoon Shift 2:30pm-10:30pm



Pay: CA$28.00 - CA$35.00 per hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform your duties respectful of your safety, safety of co-workers and all equipment and materials.

Must be an independent thinker, able to do most tasks with little or no supervision.

Perform machining operations to a high degree of tolerance.

Operate an overhead crane.

Maintain, improve, repair or modify tools, dies and fixtures as instructed, in a professional, cost-efficient manner.

Follow Clover Tool repair form instructions and address Quality Assurance concern tags, documenting all work in a timely and legible manner.

List recommendations for Tool improvements on Tool Record Form.

Record all work assignments on Job Time Cards in a timely and legible manner including length of time, part/die number and operation.

Complete perishable punch and die order request forms in order to maintain an acceptable level of stock and spare parts.

May be required to visit customer facilities to perform usual duties, where extended hours may be necessary.

Perform other tasks as assigned.

Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed.

Secondary School Education

Ontario Licensed Tool & Die Maker Certificate

Overhead Crane Certificate

Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to approximately 40 lbs
