Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in machining, assembly, and welding. This role involves creating, modifying, and repairing precision tools and dies used in manufacturing processes. The Tool and Die Maker will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Design, fabricate, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures using various machining techniques. Utilize CNC programming for CNC lathes and milling machines to create precision components. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to develop tooling solutions that meet production requirements. Employ hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling or production processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks is preferred. Experience with CNC programming for both lathes and milling machines is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing processes. Familiarity with machining techniques, assembly processes, and welding practices is advantageous. Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to measurements and tolerances. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
