Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine tooling requirements
- Use CAD software to design and develop tooling components
- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders
- Fabricate, modify, or repair tooling components using Tig welder and manual machines
- Inspect finished tooling components for accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot tooling issues and make improvements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or relevant trade school education
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
