Job Description
Maple Leaf Metals is an Edmonton-based metal recycling operation that purchases all types of metal scrap for processing, packaging, and resale. Operations include purchasing and selling scrap, heavy machinery operation, repair and maintenance of machinery, sorting of scrap, and processing of scrap material.
Maple Leaf Metals is seeking a self-motivated, proactive, outgoing, eager to learn individual with a great work ethic to become an essential part of the Maple Leaf Metals team as the 1-Ton Flatdeck Driver. The successful candidate must have prior experience pulling a trailer, must have a Canadian Class 5 License, strapping and tying down loads, and have good knowledge of the city. Responsibilities include picking up scrap metal from various sites, provide general labor in the warehouse, sorting and handling scrap metal within the warehouse, and maintain compliance with Maple Leaf Metals safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Drive the 1-ton flat deck to pick up scrap metal from various sites within the city Build customer relationships by providing excellent customer service Handle and sort through scrap metal in the warehouse Provide general labor within the scrap metal warehouse Ability to excel within a fast-paced team-work environment
Qualifications
and Experience:
Experience pulling a trailer Must have a Canadian Class 5 License Experience strapping and tying down loads Have good knowledge of the city Experience or comfort in an industrial environment Experience working within a team environment Commitment to safety Strong communication skills Logical, highly organized, and results-driven Ability to focus, prioritize and multi-task with efficiency Focused on providing great service to customers
Job Details
