The Braefoot Community Association provides daycare and out-of-school care at for children between the ages of 3 and 13 years. We believe that the more positive activities our youth are involved in, the less time they are exposed to potentially negative influences. We encourage and enable youth to participate in activities that promote positive and active lifestyles, which then contribute to healthy communities.
We are currently seeking a full-time Childcare Facility Manager looking to bring excitement and enthusiasm to the position and be a part of a team dedicated to creating positive experiences for children and youth.
The Childcare Facility Manager will be responsible for ensuring the success of our multi age care program through the organizing and management of other educators, leaders, equipment, and the programs themselves. An ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate the following abilities and qualities:
Can successfully manage and lead a team of approximately 4-8 team members.
Can maintain and distribute necessary information to team members in an organized manner.
Able to coordinate successfully with other team leaders and company managers.
Maintains a friendly and outgoing disposition within a child-friendly environment.
Computer literate and capable of learning new systems as required by the position.
This position will demand the completion of taskings in a fast-paced and stressful environment, and the ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate the following skills and accomplishments:
Previous experience with the training and management of a team of 4-8 team members.
Excellent communication skills and customer service ability.
Must possess Class 5 Driver's License and provide driving record upon request.
Early Childhood Educator certification preferred.
Must submit to and pass a Criminal Record Check.
Must possess Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C qualifications.
As a part of this position, the Childcare Facility Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
Appropriately staffing programs and other events through scheduling of team members.
Conducting the hiring, training, and assessment of team members in a leadership role.
Creating and implementing program activity plans and programs.
Appropriately staffing programs and other events through scheduling of team members.
Purchasing and maintaining camp equipment, inventory, and materials.
Collaborating and corresponding with partner organizations to manage programs.
Assisting with creation and distribution of promotional material for programs and events.
Receiving and handling correspondence and queries from parents and other external partners.
Collaborating with and corresponding with other camp coordinators to manage programs.
Ensuring safety and well-being of participants throughout camp programs and activities.
Completing other tasks as required by the office manager.

Contract length: 10 months
Pay: $25.00-$31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
