Gwillimbury Hills Montessori School and Daycare is a private childcare center located in the heart of East Gwillimbury, Ontario. GH Montessori and Daycare delivers robust Montessori programming to students aged toddler to upper casa (6 years old). Our mission is to help children realize the great potential that rests within, by assisting them in developing a sense of self and inspiring them to act on their ambitions. By adhering to the core principles, philosophies, and pedagogy of Dr. Maria Montessori, and \xe2\x80\x9cHow Does Learning Happens?\xe2\x80\x9d we are devoted to each child\xe2\x80\x99s intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and physical development. Currently, we are seeking caring, patient and engaging full-time toddler-Casa Montessori and/or RECE educators who are passionate about providing a nurturing Montessori program with developmentally appropriate activities geared to the needs of the individual child with concerns to their interests, special needs, and intellectual and emotional level. The successful candidates will lovingly supervise the children and guide them in their daily routine at school while practicing the Montessori philosophy and maintaining provincial Ministry of Education standards and guidelines. JOB REQUIREMENTS \xc2\xb7 MACTE or AMI Casa/Preschool Diploma or RECE qualifications from Ontario, Canada. \xc2\xb7 RECE\xe2\x80\x99s must be currently registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECEO) in Ontario province in Canada and in good standing. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of ELECT documents and How Does Learning Happen? \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children preferred \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work extended hours to participate in school activities, including parent evenings, Open Houses, concerts, and other school-sanctioned events \xc2\xb7 Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) \xc2\xb7 Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C \xc2\xb7 Up to date Immunization Health Screening/Record (as per CCEYA guidelines) \xc2\xb7 Self-starter with high energy, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to multi-task \xc2\xb7 Experience working collaboratively as part of a team \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal skills \xc2\xb7 Strong oral, written and computer skills Additional Assets \xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) \xc2\xb7 Confident using Zoom or Teams for video conferencing and being on-camera \xc2\xb7 Food Handlers Certification from Ontario, Canada JOB RESPONSIBILITIES \xc2\xb7 Work collaboratively to plan and deliver a robust and authentic Montessori curriculum or use their knowledge of ELECT documents to plan a curriculum for preschool children. \xc2\xb7 Design and facilitate learning experiences that support the individualized learning needs of all students \xc2\xb7 Develop a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment that is grounded in AMS\xe2\x80\x99 core values of respect, inclusivity, inquisitiveness and kindness \xc2\xb7 Monitor, provide feedback and assess student learning using a range of tools and strategies \xc2\xb7 Communicate effectively and regularly with colleagues, students, and their families \xc2\xb7 Attend and participate in school functions and events Please only apply to this position if you are having valid Canadian Work Permit.
