Reporting to the Winnipeg Shop Manager, the Tire/Wash Bay Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the tire program in Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, and Brandon and Winnipeg, additionally will also manage the Winnipeg Wash Bay facility. In this role you are expected to deliver on your objectives while supporting the Terminals in achieving the necessary results. The successful applicant should possess very good knowledge of tractor and trailer tires including the retreading process.

  • Previous experience with the Trimble Suite of maintenance software (TMT) would be an asset
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • 3-5 years in the tire field - TIA certification an asset
Responsibilities of the position:
  • Assisting technicians with yard checks, planning, organizing, and scheduling all aspects of tire maintenance
  • Monitor system that tracks tire inventory for Winnipeg, Brandon, Moosejaw, and Saskatoon, casing tracking, warranty scrap analysis, sending/receiving new tires, retreads, and provide training to new and on-going employees
  • Assisting with review of repair orders for wash bay and tire bay
  • Reviewing invoices on national accounts ensuring proper pricing and products are being used
  • Coordinating calls, emails, schedule planner, manage the PO system, track, and manage costs
  • Dealing with road calls and flexible to accept after hours calls
  • Being aware of and responsible for ensuring Health & Safety standards are adhered to maintain a safe and productive workplace
  • Responsible for communicating and coordinating with Operations for any equipment needed for repairs or maintenance
  • Involved in the maintenance and general upkeep of facilities and applicable property
  • Being innovative and open-minded to new philosophies and ideas to improve processes necessary to make the maintenance of the equipment as effective and efficient as possible
  • Creating and maintaining a positive work environment
  • Assisting wash bay prepping units for steams and shunting equipment if required
  • Some travel required
  • Other duties as required
