Tire Technician



Overview


We seek a dedicated and skilled Tire/Oil Change Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for tire installations, rotations, repairs, and maintenance, as well as conducting oil changes and other routine maintenance services. You will contribute to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers by providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a passion for automotive repair. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Perform tire installations, rotations, balancing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles. Perform tire repairs, including patching and plugging as necessary Conduct oil changes and fluid checks, ensuring proper disposal of old oil and filters. Inspect vehicles for any additional maintenance needs or safety issues, and communicate recommendations to customers. Utilize tire and automotive shop equipment, including lifts, air tools, and alignment machines. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and company policies. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and explaining services performed. Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used. Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking parts and tires as needed. Stay updated on industry trends and latest technologies related to tires and vehicle maintenance.

Skills



Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required. Strong mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair principles. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to tire installation and repair. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) as required during tire installation processes. Knowledge of maintenance procedures related to tires and vehicles is advantageous. Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record. ASE certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus. Sales skills are a plus for recommending products that meet customer needs. Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
