Overview

We are seeking an experience skilled Tile Setter to join our team. This contract is to help us with the extensive tile work on the facing bar, and Back bar, as well as floor tiling. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation and tile laying, with a strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. This role involves ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. This position you will be working on most of the project on your own so must be a strong driven person.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and lay tiles Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar Use hand tools such as trowels, cutters, and levels to ensure precise installation Follow blueprint specifications to achieve desired patterns and layouts Perform flooring installation tasks, including subfloor preparation and finishing touches Apply caulking around tiles and other surfaces for waterproofing and aesthetic purposes Collaborate with carpenters, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate project timelines Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times Troubleshoot issues related to tile installation or surface preparation as they arise

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools used in tile setting, carpentry, and construction work Experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and surface preparation Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings Strong knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications Maintenance Person experience is advantageous for handling miscellaneous repair tasks on-site Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Good physical stamina for lifting materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various environments Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
