Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tile surfaces in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of flooring installation, tile laying techniques, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Tile Setter will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Candidates with maintenance person experience or carpentry skills are encouraged to apply, as these will be valuable assets in this role.

Responsibilities

Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation, ensuring proper alignment and levelness Cut, shape, and lay tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and materials needed Mix mortar or adhesive to secure tiles firmly in place Apply caulking and grout to finish surfaces professionally Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris appropriately Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope

Experience

Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction trades Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, cutters, levels, and saws Knowledge of blueprint reading for accurate layout planning Background in carpentry or maintenance person work is highly desirable Experience with caulking techniques and finishing details preferred Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
