Company:

Idea 64 Projects is a fast-paced and growing, family owned manufacturing shop in Salmon Arm, BC. We work extensively with the log and timber frame industry producing structural brackets, components and architectural steel. We also work across various other industries producing everything from parts for robotics and the marine industry to full scale design/builds of signs and art installations. Our shop is focused on precise, extremely high quality and top notch manufacturing.

We are looking to add an Aluminum TIG welder/CNC operator to our team.

Description:

Our shop is fast paced and a willingness to perform and learn tasks other than welding is a must, not just an asset.

Job duties will include:

- Parts clean-up and weld prep (use of an angle grinder)

- TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel parts

- MIG welding steel

- Forklift operation for loading and unloading material from trucks and onto the CNC cutting tables

- Organization and labelling of parts coming off of the CNC cutting tables

- Keeping work area tidy and organized

- Learning of CNC laser, waterjet and press brake

- Packaging for shipping

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate would have "C" welding ticket or be a second year apprentice welder with significant experience in aluminum TIG welding. Extensive experience in TIG welding, without tickets, will be considered.

- Proficient in TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components.

Must be a self starter, able to follow written and verbal directions and work well with others.

A willingness and eagerness to learn new things is a must.

- Ability to adapt to different tasks quickly is an asset.

A good understanding of basic math, weights and measures is a must.

Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.

- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs comfortably.

Must have reliable transportation.
