As a TIG Welder, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by executing high-quality welding tasks that meet industry standards. You will work with various materials, including sheet metal and pipes, to fabricate components that are essential to our projects. Your expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding will ensure that we maintain our reputation for excellence and precision. What you'll do
Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components accurately.
Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and fabrication processes to meet production goals.
Operate cranes and forklifts safely to transport materials around the construction site.
Engage in rigging activities as needed to support the movement of heavy components.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Basic qualifications
Proven experience in TIG welding with a strong understanding of welding techniques and processes.
Preferred qualifications
Construction site experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus.
Mechanical knowledge related to machining, soldering, ductwork, pipe threading, and fabrication processes.
Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
