Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum components.

Work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate and assemble hulls, decks, and internal structures.

Ensure all welds meet company quality, strength, and aesthetic standards.

Fit, align, and tack-weld parts according to blueprints and jigs.

Inspect completed welds for defects and compliance with standards.

Perform grinding, cleaning, and finishing of welded areas.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean and safe condition.

Collaborate with other welders, fabricators, and assemblers on project tasks.

Qualification & Skills

Minimum 2 years TIG welding experience (aluminum preferred).

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols.

Strong understanding of weld preparation, heat control, and distortion prevention.

Familiarity with marine fabrication processes and standards (asset).

CWB or equivalent welding certification (preferred but not required).

Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting materials as required.
