TIG Aluminum Welder

Job Summary

As a Senior TIG Aluminum Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-precision TIG welding on various aluminum components and assemblies. The ideal candidate is an expert in aluminum welding techniques, familiar with shop fabrication practices, and committed to producing superior-quality work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced TIG welding on aluminum components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications Inspect materials and finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances Set up welding equipment, select proper filler rods, and adjust settings for material thickness and weld type Interpret complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, shears, and brakes Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production deadlines Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety protocols

Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years of TIG welding experience, specifically working with aluminum Extensive knowledge of welding procedures, techniques, and best practices Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols Strong attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship Ability to work independently or as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent; welding certifications are a strong asset Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS welding certification in aluminum (or equivalent) Experience in custom or precision aluminum fabrication Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
