About the Role
We're looking for an experienced
Tier 2 / 3 IT Technician
to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for resolving advanced technical issues, supporting client environments, and taking the lead on escalations and infrastructure projects. This role also involves mentoring junior technicians and contributing to the overall success of our service delivery team.
Key Responsibilities
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues from Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians
Implement, support and maintain client environments including
Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, Intune, VMware, and Hyper-V
Configure and troubleshoot
firewalls (SonicWall, etc.), VLANs, VPNs, and network switching/routing
Implement and maintain
backup and disaster recovery solutions
(Datto, Kaseya BCDR)
Automate and improve service processes through vendor best practices and our internal tools. Consistently looking for improvement and being part of the solution.
Deploy and manage several
security solutions
including MFA, EDR/MDR and other advanced security solutions.
Participate in client
infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and project work
Keep documentation and client portals (IT Glue, PSA)
accurate and up to date
Mentor junior team members and help onboard new technicians
Qualifications
5+ years
of IT support experience, with
2+ years
in a Tier 2 or 3 role (preferably within an MSP)
Strong knowledge of
Microsoft 365, Windows Server (2016-2025), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP
Proven experience with
networking, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, SonicWall, and Ubiquiti
Proven experience with
VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
Ability to troubleshoot and identify a security related incident. (minor to major)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- able to explain technical issues clearly
Valid Ontario Driver's License and reliable vehicle (required for client site visits)*

Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, AZ-104, AZ-305)
CompTIA certifications (Network+, Security+, CySA+)
ITIL Foundation
