Threat Intelligence Lead - Cyber Command Centre, Brampton, ON

As the Threat Intelligence Lead, you will be the strategic leader responsible for developing and executing our organization's threat intelligence program. This role is central to our proactive defense strategy, focusing on transforming raw threat data into actionable intelligence that informs and enhances our security posture. You will lead the effort to understand the threat actors, campaigns, and tactics targeting our industry and organization. By providing timely and relevant insights, you will be a key advisor to the Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response teams, and executive leadership, enabling intelligence-driven decisions to mitigate cyber risk.

What You'll Do:

Define and lead the organization's threat intelligence strategy, building a comprehensive program for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence. Oversee the intelligence lifecycle, from gathering data from open-source (OSINT), technical, and dark web sources to producing finished intelligence products. Develop and maintain detailed profiles of threat actors relevant to our organization, including their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), motivations, and infrastructure. Produce and deliver actionable intelligence reports, strategic briefings, and threat assessments tailored to diverse audiences, from technical security teams to non-technical executive leadership. Collaborate closely with Incident Response, SOC, and Threat Hunting teams to provide critical context during investigations and help translate intelligence into new detection rules and defensive measures. Mentor and develop a team of intelligence analysts, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, and continuous learning. Manage and optimize the threat intelligence platform (TIP) and other analytical tools to streamline workflows and enhance intelligence-sharing capabilities.

What you will bring:

Strong experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in a dedicated threat intelligence, threat hunting, or incident response role. Proven experience leading intelligence initiatives or mentoring junior analysts. Deep expertise in the cyber threat landscape, including a strong understanding of Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), cybercriminal motivations, and attack vectors. Strong command of intelligence analysis frameworks such as the Diamond Model, the Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK. Hands-on experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, Recorded Future, ThreatConnect), OSINT collection techniques, and data analysis tools. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and incomplete information into clear, actionable intelligence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical threat data into business risk for executive stakeholders. A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, International Relations, or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., GCTI, GOSI, CISSP) are highly desirable.
