We actively seek applications from scholars from equity-deserving groups.About the RoleThe department is seeking instructors with the ability to teach the following course over the Fall 2024 semester:INFO 2666 - Thinking with TypeStudents will examine the role of typography in the context of Information Design. Topics include principles of typography and typeface design, page organization, concept development and the historical foundations of typography. Students will use typographical principles and methods of visual organization to solve assigned communication problems.Days & Time Offered: 2 sections (001) MW 10 am to 11:20 am // (002) MW 11:30 am to 12:50 pmResponsibilities

• Instruction: course delivery including preparation of course outline, course activities, lesson preparation and assessments, and course D2L site; and
• Administration: submit course attendance sheets, course outline signature forms, input final grades upon course completion, and participate in scheduled program meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in information design or equivalent
• Subject matter expertise in typography, visual communication, and/or graphic design
• 3+ years professional and/or teaching experience in typography or visual communication
