Job Title: Therapist / Allied Health or Mental Health ProfessionalAre you a Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist (RP/RPQ), Occupational Therapist, Nutritionist, Job and/or Academic Coach, Personal Trainer, or other provider keen to work with neurodivergent youth and adults? Do you have a neurodiversity-affirming approach to practice or are willing to learn? To be neurodiversity-affirming is to assume, among other things, that:

  • neurodivergences like Autism and ADHD are naturally occurring differences (not disorders) in the human brain and nervous system
  • traditional education, health and mental health services often do harm to neurodivergent people across the lifespan
  • behavioural treatments (such as ABA) that seek to correct or 'normalize' neurodivergent forms of communication and behaviour can be especially harmful
About usWe are a professional, innovative, and supportive virtual interdisciplinary group practice whose goal is to provide neurodiversity & LGBTQ2SI+ affirming psychotherapy and related services to youth and adults in Ontario and Canada.Our fully online group practice serves a diverse neurodivergent client base of teens, young adults, university students, women, late diagnosed or self-diagnosed adults, couples, parents, and family members.With a focus on undoing harm, we support people to: better understand their neurotype, develop strategies for sensory, emotional, and cognitive regulation, explore intersections with sex and gender, build skills to communicate across neurotypes, and live life authentically with more ease.If you join our growing virtual team, you will have the exclusive opportunity to be trained in our unique neurodiversity-affirming treatment model, receive ongoing supervision, and have opportunities for continuous learning, as teacher and learner, alongside team members in health and mental health disciplines across Ontario and Canada.Responsibilities and QualificationsFor Therapists / Registered Social Workers:
  • MSW or specialized therapy training with supervised practicum; with experience, BSW and RP(Q) may be considered
  • Insured and licensed to practice under your regulatory body
  • Minimum one to two years counselling/practice experience
  • Skillfullly offer individual, family, and/or group remote therapy with clients 12+ with willingness to modify traditional modalities for our client population
  • Specialization in Safe and Sound Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Sensorimotor Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Movement an asset
For other service providers (e.g., OT, PT, RNCP, RMT, RN, ND, Coach):
  • Qualifications and registration with your regulatory body, if applicable, and insurance that meets or exceeds the standards in your field
  • Education and experience that meets or exceeds the standards in your field
For all applicants:
  • Ability to work independently and seek out support as needed
  • Keep timely, confidential, up to date records
  • Comply with the ethics and principles of your profession, including the strictest confidentiality of client and practice information and intellectual property
  • Participate in team meetings and attend regular supervision
  • Engage in continuous learning
  • Willing to participate in webinars, training videos and innovative delivery modalities related to virtual therapy an asset
  • Willingness to write articles and posts related to your work for the business's social media, an asset
  • Eager to be a part of a movement for LGBTQ2SI+ and neurodiverse-affirming care
