GSK is looking to hire a Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology to join our Specialty Care Division. This role is field-based and reports directly to the Senior District Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in hematology oncology or a proven track record of launching products in competitive markets. This role is responsible for managing a hospital- and oncology-focused territory covering

Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba

, building strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, and driving business growth in a complex and evolving hematology oncology landscape.

Candidates must reside within this territory

to ensure effective local engagement and coverage.


In this role, you will be responsible for executing strategic business plans that drive customer engagement and maximize the value of GSK's hematology oncology portfolio. You will lead business development initiatives, foster meaningful customer relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful implementation of marketing strategies. Your ability to navigate access barriers, demonstrate business acumen, and work autonomously will be critical to success. You will collaborate closely with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), GTR colleagues, and other internal partners to support GSK's mission to help patients live longer, healthier lives.

Role Responsibilities




The responsibilities of the role will include:

Developing and implementing strategic business plans tailored to your hematology oncology territory, setting and achieving both short- and long-term goals Building strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, and allied healthcare stakeholders to optimize patient outcomes Designing and driving unique, customer-focused initiatives to build GSK advocacy and accelerate portfolio growth Engaging in meaningful scientific discussions with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal use of hematology oncology medicines Monitoring and analyzing competitor products, strategies, and overall landscape to inform territory approach Collaborating with cross-functional colleagues (MSLs, GTR, GAMA reps) to develop and execute programs that improve patient care and align with brand strategies Navigating access challenges effectively and leveraging business acumen to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities Preparing and managing territory budgets with accountability for resource allocation Conducting impactful daily customer calls to drive measurable contributions to patient access and market growth Executing field programs such as Lunch & Learns, scientific engagements, and other educational initiatives Ensuring all activities align with internal compliance and regulatory standards while consistently acting with integrity

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or related field Minimum 5 years of recent experience in hematology oncology or proven success in launching products in competitive markets Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive business growth Ability to travel extensively within the territory, minimizing windshield time for efficiency Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility) Strong relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:



Advanced scientific degree or equivalent experience Experience working with key academic centers in hematology oncology Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with medical, marketing, or government affairs teams Strong working knowledge of scientific research study interpretation Proven ability to build and maintain access to a network of physicians and healthcare stakeholders Functional knowledge of data analysis techniques

This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company - leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, GSK will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirements
