Summary

MacDonald Paving and Construction is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services.

As a Milling Machine Foreperson, You Will:

• Be responsible to look after milling crew
• Operate & run ground controls on milling machine
• Maintain and monitor a desired depth/slope
• Ensure accurate & timely completion of required safety paperwork and work report submissions
• Practice due diligence to ensure that all jobs are done safely and efficiently
• Assist with and perform machinery maintenance as required
• Ensure the cleanliness of the equipment as per Miller standards
• Assist with executing float moves to and from worksites

What You\'ll Bring:

• Valid Class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with clean driving record
• Experience around heavy equipment/crew supervising an asset
• Knowledge of grades: cross slope, super elevations, offset grades, swales etc.) is an asset
• Highway construction signage and safety awareness an asset
• Mechanical/welding experience is an asset
• Knowledge with computers/electric over hydraulic is an asset
• Team leader, willing to learn and train others in a fast pace environment
• Must have and maintain a team attitude & safe work ethics
• Ability to travel for a minimum of a week at a time in Atlantic Canada
• Willingness to work weekends as projects require
