POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for trouble shooting, repairing, maintaining, calibrating and validating all test related equipment. Plan, analyze, implement and evaluate continuous improvement opportunities on existing equipment/processes and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs or coordinates electronic engineering or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.
  • Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices require to test electronic devices and record test data.
  • Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as products or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
  • Analyse and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.
  • Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct test on electronic products and systems or software.
  • Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware or software, as well as proper problem solving techniques.
  • Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measure and monitoring improvements.
  • 1. IN-CIRCUIT
  • Coordinate with third party development of in-circuit test programs and enhancements
  • Performs written analysis of fault code.
  • Coordinate with third party to develops quotes for test development and enhancements.
  • Performs analysis / Gauge R & R (Design For Test).
  • Performs mechanical analysis of test fixtures
  • 2. FUNCTIONAL
  • Coordinates with third party the development of EOL testers.
  • Modifies and/or supports diagnostic tests at the card edge level.
  • Supports functional test hardware, computer platforms, and interfaces.
  • Co-ordinate the development of test procedures with the engineering team.
  • Preform failure/ root cause analysis for all EOL tester failures and warranty return.
  • 3.AOI SYSTEMS and SOFTWARE
  • Develops and/or modifies software (Automated Optical Inspection specific) or system level plans and tests.
  • Analyse and interprets software or system level diagnostic failure (software and hardware)
  • Develops and/or supports quality comprehensive test programs.
  • Develops quotes for test development and enhancements.
  • Performs test ability analysis (Design For Test).

  • Meet all critical deliverables as outlines in the APQP and PEP process to support program/project timing
  • Meet all Department goals and objectives
  • Meet all line efficiencies, Quality and scrap goals as defined by production.

  • Successful completion and implementation of assigned projects
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • Completion of university degree in Engineering field
  • 5 to 7 years of work related experience.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred
