We are currently seeking a construction professional to work on as a Testing and Commissioning Engineer in the Greater Toronto Area.
The ideal candidate must have superb communication abilities with previous experience commissioning mechanical systems. A mechanical engineering degree and previous commercial sector experience is required. Reporting to the EVP of Operations duties include;
To manage and schedule the "Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning" work on designated construction projects.
To plan, develop, co-ordinate and direct start-up activities for the project.
Work with OEM Manufactures' to coordinate various tests, such as functional, performance, safety, integration and load testing to ensure components and systems work as intended
To assist with the identification of hand over systems and the establishment of priorities and sequence of completion.
To review during the construction, phase the status of testing and punch listing to ensure systems are turned over to commissioning and start-up in a smooth, safe and efficient manner.
To interface with Client's operation staff and keep them informed of system completion status and assist with training
Identify and resolve any problems or malfunctions found during testing
Troubleshooting on-site challenges, resolving conflicts, and adapting plans to address unexpected delays or issues
Address TSSA QA matters with pressure and power piping, preparing documentations for the approval of the TSSA where required.
Prepare all necessary documentation, including test reports
Position requirements and qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering background with previous experience working in ICI
Proficiency in interpreting schematics and blueprints, a strong foundation in relevant systems (e.g., HVAC, control systems), and the ability to perform tests and troubleshoot.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential
Valid G-class driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
