Job Title: Test Technician \xe2\x80\x9cTester\xe2\x80\x9d (Unionized Position)

A Snapshot of Your Day

Performs all electrical tests based on standard procedures as determined by Technical Documentation and guidance of test lab supervisor. Using the appropriate electrical instruments to meet daily production quotas. Records all test results using standard test forms and procedures and fills out daily production reports and any other related documentation. Follows all safety practices and procedures related to high voltage testing and the workplace safety & hazard assessment.

• Solve the high voltage industry most significant problems- Be part of exciting and innovative projects.
• Engaging, challenging, and fast evolving, cutting edge technological environment.
• Perform various testing according to established test lab procedures.
• Operate various test equipment independently and/or in conjunction with other Test Lab personnel.
• Utilizing computer applications in conjunction with various test equipment to conduct tests, gather data, analyze results, and produce reports.

What You Bring

• Community College diploma in Electrical/Electronic or electrical certification is required.
• Experience using test instruments such as Impedance Analyzer, Voltage Breakdown Tester, Power Wattmeter & Micro Ohmmeter is preferrable.
• Mid-level to extensive years of relevant experience or equivalent education with working on LV or HV circuit required.
• Critical thinking and knowledge in electromagnetic theory and circuit analysis is required, to initiate corrective measures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10 operating system is required. Familiarity with LabView software would strongly be preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical AC & DC schematics is required.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy electrical test equipment or components (up to 40 lbs) is required.
• Working at height and using elevating platforms is a mandatory requirement of this job and will be evaluated during the selection process.
• Must demonstrate safety and quality conscious approach while performing work duties.
• Able to work on a shift rotation as required.
• English language proficiency with fluency in read, write and speak in English language required.
