We are looking to fill 4 vacancies for Test Operators on Days (1) and Afternoon (3) Shift. The incumbent(s) will be responsible for performing various automated procedures as defined, acting as a resource person in the daily operations of manufacturing. Duties vary from taping, running PVA, cutting boards, washing boards, simple go-no-go testing, helping in pack out and any relevant simple manufacturing/production related job. The positions will report to the Test/Production Supervisor, Afternoon Primary Leader or designate.
These positions are entry-level and successful new hires will be offered $17.60/hour unless candidates possess relevant experience or specific criteria to the position requirements working in an EMS industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform assigned production steps per work instructions.
Perform simple go on go testing as requested by the Production Leader.
Verify all processes are performed to the documentation.
Coordinate tasks with Supervisor and take priorities from them for work.
Integrate product if required, will include simple assembly instructions.
Responsible for ensuring that housekeeping/5S is being done at all areas and is maintained at all times.
Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through Manufacturing Execution System (MES), read MES instructions per the training specifications to ensure compliance.
Ensure that scanning board and performing this operation has to be done using ViewStation.
Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Test Supervisor and/or Primary Leader.
Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines.
Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production.
Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects up to 20 lbs.
Perform any other relevant tasks to help out any other area in production.
Perform other tasks as required.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole and SMT components, drawings and BOMs or possess a demonstrated technical ability and interest to learn.
Familiar with IPC standards with respect to PCB repair is an asset not mandatory.
Proficient use of microscope is required.
Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control is an asset however, candidates will trained on these principles.
Good work habits and housekeeping is required.

Experience with IPC Standards and ISO 9002 is an asset however not mandatory.
Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or enrolled in a technical school would be desirable, however not mandatory.
Possess a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
Good English skills, both written, verbal and reading/understanding.
Must complete and provide a satisfactory police/criminal reference check for employment consideration.
WORK HOURS
Normal scheduled hours of work:
DAYS - Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
AFTERNOONS - Monday to Friday 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Overtime may be scheduled from time to time based on operational and business needs
LOCATION - 100% ON-SITE
The position location is based in Markham, Ontario facilities (Building A at 195 Royal Crest Court and/or Building B at 3930 14th Avenue)
Incumbent must be open to working at both facilities as business and operational needs dictate
