Test Manager

North York, ON, CA, Canada

Job Description

The QA Lead is responsible for coordinating and driving all test activities across localized teams and management, ensuring seamless engagement of business end users for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Process Testing (BPT). This role is pivotal in establishing and maintaining quality governance throughout all phases of the SecNet program, from planning and execution to release and operational transition. The QA Lead will ensure quality standards align with the program's objectives of network and security modernization, cloud-first architecture, zero trust security, and automated processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and align test strategies, plans, and schedules with SecNet program objectives, including network modernization (MPLS migration, SD-WAN, SASE) and security modernization (Zero Trust, identity-driven access, security embedded in architecture). Coordinate test efforts across functional, integration, UAT, and BPT phases, ensuring comprehensive coverage and timely execution. Engage business users and process owners, facilitating their participation in UAT/BPT and supporting the definition of test scenarios and acceptance criteria. Oversee test environment readiness, including cloud-based environments and network/security components (firewalls, VPN, cloud security policies). Perform QA for networking and security components, validating configurations, access controls, and compliance with security standards. Test network performance, security controls, and automated incident response workflows to ensure resilience and operational efficiency. Monitor and report on test progress, risks, and issues to program leadership, escalating critical blockers as needed. Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, leveraging automation, AI-augmented testing, and best practices for defect management and traceability. Ensure quality governance by enforcing standardized entry/exit criteria, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business, vendors, cybersecurity) to align quality objectives and resolve dependencies. Represent QA in program-level governance forums, contributing to go/no-go decisions and release sign-off.

Ideal Profile

Proven experience leading QA efforts in large-scale, multi-phase transformation programs, including network and security modernization initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences. Expertise in UAT/BPT coordination, test automation, and quality governance frameworks. Familiarity with cloud-first architectures (AWS/Azure), Zero Trust security principles, SASE frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of network and security modernization initiatives, including centralized visibility and automated incident response.
