Test Engineer or Technician

with a hands-on background with commercial refrigeration equipment service and operation. This role will be integral in the validation and ongoing development of Transom's heat pump water heater products. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the core development team, while cross-functionally contributing to end-of-line production testing. All the design, research and development are done in-house. Being part of our engineering team offers a unique opportunity to work on and take ownership of many aspects of the development.

Position Description

Evaluate new designs with hands-on perspective Comprehensive testing post-production product prior to shipping Advise Production technicians with end-of-line testing to ensure quality Work closely with our Quality and Engineering team members to make continuous improvement Recommend appropriate tools as needed Develop innovative testing procedures for improving overall production throughput Improve procedures, while evaluating existing tests of components and final assemblies Prepare test reports and recommendations while maintaining compliance with all applicable standards Generally, support the entire company with your industry-related expertise

Desired Experience

Demonstrated 5+ years experience with thermal systems, refrigeration and electromechanical controls

Demonstrated 5+ years experience with testing and evaluation of refrigerant-charged products

Proficiency with Microsoft Office family of products

Education (One or more of the following)

Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering Degree preferred

Refrigeration or Mechanical Technology Diploma

313A or 313D Licensed
