Position Overview
Inmotive is a Toronto-based electric vehicle (EV) technology company dedicated to designing and developing advanced transmission systems to improve EV performance, efficiency, and range. We are a growing team of engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers working on groundbreaking solutions in the EV industry.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, set up, and execute test procedures on EV transmission systems, subsystems, and components using dyno test rigs and laboratory equipment.
Perform system-level and component-level testing of sensors, actuators, transducers, and electrical circuits.
Apply ISO automotive standards to testing activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare FMEDA reports to support system reliability and safety assessments.
Collect, analyze, and interpret test data using Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW to provide insights and recommendations.
Operate and troubleshoot testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
Work with CAN bus systems for communication testing and validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design and Validation) to resolve issues and support product development.
Document test results, write technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (mandatory).
Master's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering (asset).
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive or electromechanical testing.
Strong knowledge of ISO automotive standards.
Experience in RCA and FMEDA reporting.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis (mandatory).
Familiarity with MATLAB and LabVIEW for data acquisition and control.
Solid understanding of sensors, actuators, transducers, and electrical circuits.
Experience working with CAN bus communication systems.
Hands-on proficiency with testing tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems).
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
