As a Test Engineer specializing in Electrical and Electronics Systems, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that products, particularly those involving digital electronics and power electronics, meet rigorous performance, reliability, and safety standards. You will lead the development and execution of Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R), apply advanced statistical and analytical methods, and leverage AI-driven tools to optimize experimental design and data analysis. Job Duties
Develop, implement, and maintain DVP&R processes to validate digital and power electronic product designs against all specified requirements.
Plan and execute verification tests for digital circuits, power electronics, and embedded systems, focusing on performance, durability, and reliability. Document and analyze test results, providing actionable recommendations for design improvements.
Conduct DFMEA sessions targeting digital and power electronics to identify potential failure modes, assess their impact, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.
Design, execute, and interpret experiments using statistical methods to optimize product designs and processes. Employ AI and machine learning algorithms to uncover insights from complex datasets and develop predictive models for product performance.
Integrate functional safety design principles throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices for electronics and embedded systems.
Lead the development of comprehensive test plans for product validation, experimental development, and safety verification. Formalize and execute procedures for DFMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Hazard Analysis, and functional safety requirements.
Design and perform accelerated life cycle tests for digital and power electronic products. Analyze results using statistical tools and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Design and source specialized testing fixtures for digital and power electronics. Monitor equipment performance and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a closely related field.
Strong foundation in digital electronics, power electronics, embedded systems, and relevant engineering principles.
Proven experience with statistical modeling for life cycle analysis and DFMEA.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute design of experiments.
Experience with functional safety design and considerations for electronics and embedded systems.
Effective decision-making skills and a proactive approach to recommending improvements.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Skilled in data-driven decision making, leveraging data visualization to communicate insights and support recommendations.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory certifications for electronics products (e.g., UL, CSA, IEC 62368-1, UL 94, UL 796, UL 1642 / UL 2580, UL 508 / UL 508A) is an asset.
Work Conditions
Work across diverse environments, including offices (planning and documentation), laboratories (testing and analysis), and manufacturing areas (hands-on product evaluation)
Travel may be required between main and satellite offices, as well as to third-party testing laboratories

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
