Job Description

Position Overview



Under the direct supervision of a Service Delivery Group Manger, a Test Engineer is responsible for the testing and adherence of gaming technology to jurisdictional regulations and technical standards. The position may also involve field services work, including gaming device and gaming system inspections as well as general field support. To deliver all the specific accountabilities identified below where he/she is assigned the role as test engineer or as a participant in team-based projects reporting to a project leader. The test engineer is required to develop a basic knowledge of testing procedures, technical gaming standards, various gaming platforms, and BMM policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities



Working with their Group Manager, the test engineer is responsible for:

1. Develop basic level understanding into technical standards, procedures, test plans & checklists, as well as BMM policies and procedures.

2. Develop basic level understanding on technical standards and interpretations.

3. Have a basic understanding of trends in technology in the gaming industry and changes that are occurring. Use BMM related industry material such as industry magazines, industry websites, etc.

4. Develop understanding of all tests necessary for the project are carried out

5. Ensuring the quality of work/tests through adherence to BMM's standards and procedures.

6. Documenting all test results and incidents that are raised on the project.

7. Develop basic understanding of reports, recommendation letters and status reports written for the project.

8. Develop understanding of BMM's project management procedures.

9. Recording and reviewing their time spent each day.

10. Develop understanding of BMM's standards and procedures to achieve high quality deliverables.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES



1. Communicating with your respective Group Manager and assigned project leaders. Project leaders may not be a member of your group.

2. Development of skill set will be evaluated on an agreed upon schedule by respective Group Manager. Results from said evaluations will then be reviewed by Group Manager.

Minimum Qualifications



Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or math. Ability to program in at least one high level language such as C++, C#, or Java. Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications



Experience with the development or testing of gaming technology software or hardware. Experience with the development or testing of gaming technology communication protocols such as SAS, G2S, and S2S.
