Our Exciting Opportunity:

Ericsson Radio Product development is responsible for all aspects of new feature development: systemization, design, coding and testing of radio software to create new capabilities and satisfy customer needs. Candidates can expect a hands-on technical role where everyone is empowered to influence the direction of the product design.

We are seeking a test automation engineer to assist our high-performing cross-functional teams (XFT) developing software for wireless products that are the interface between your smart phone and the cellular network. If you are selected for this position, you will work as part of a software verification team combining efforts to deliver world class cellular products. Face to face communication is also very important so you may have the opportunity to travel in order to meet our colleagues and customers around the world.

You will:

  • Contribute to the definition of test framework, ensuring it is in line with PDU directives (MJE)
  • Collaborate with other sites to ensure global resource utilization are coherent, efficient and effective
  • Supervise the work of coops, consultants, or any others involved in test automation
  • Analyze processes to find gaps, bottlenecks and recommend best work processes to propose supporting software solutions if needed
  • Participate in local & global forums on test automation and drive AI/ML implementation in our test environment
  • Oversee and participate in the development, execution, and maintenance of automation test scripts
  • Work with test teams to define best automation strategy
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high product quality
To be successful in the role you must have:
  • Education: B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong JAVA experience
  • Good understanding of test automation framework with TestNG and JUnit
  • Troubleshooting experience and test-oriented mentality
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile software development methodologies
  • Working knowledge of OOP and computer science fundamentals
  • Proven ability to liaise easily with other groups/sites/cultures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Software development for telecom wireless infrastructure equipment would be a strong asset
Additional Requirements: you must readily be eligible to work in Canada.
