On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced, driven, and highly organized Territory Sales Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals focusing on landscape. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for providing a high level of customer satisfaction ensuring strength and growth across all divisions of The Shaw Group Limited. The role will be based out of Halifax, focusing on mainland Nova Scotia, but occasional travel within the Atlantic Provinces could be required.

Key Responsibilities & Priorities:

  • Identifying a customer\'s needs, pitching relevant products or services, and ensuring they have a positive experience from start to finish.
  • Developing and maintaining mutually respectful and trusting relationships with key customers while managing requests and problem-solving in an efficient timeframe.
  • Develop and incorporate strategic planning to improve and exceed sales targets and ensure revenue growth.
  • Uncovering, presenting, and negotiating opportunities at senior levels across the Commercial, Government and Consumer sectors.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling.
  • Working with the sales, design, marketing, and logistics teams dedicated to the same customer account to ensure maximizing the sales of products across all divisions.
  • Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future case studies or company training.
  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines.
  • Using customer relationship management (CRM) daily to build a day-to-day strategy while maintaining records of projects, progress, and interactions across customer accounts.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Highly organized and customer service focused.
  • Experience calling on architects, developers, general contractors is a large asset.
  • Experience working within landscape or related industry will be preferred.
  • Experience selling products with long term sales cycles.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or a relevant field.
  • 4-5 years\' previous work experience in sales, management, or key account management.
  • Proven results in delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the company\'s key clients and their position in the industry.
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories.
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person.
  • Demonstrates initiative, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to change.
  • Basic computer skills, experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office, with emphasis on strong Excel skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a strong ability to follow through on client contracts.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage more than one client account.
