Job Description

Pivot Supply, a leading distributor of hard surface flooring products, has an immediate opening for a full-time Territory Sales Associate covering Northern Alberta (including and north of Red Deer). As the Territory Sales Associate, you will report directly with the Director of Sales & Operations to create effective sales strategies for the Territory. Your duties include: identifying promising market opportunities, new target accounts, setting yearly sales objectives, developing strategies for accounts, and overseeing the entire sales process. You will also work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of all sales activities within the territory. Your role will be to build lasting relationships with businesses and associations through cold calling and networking, maintaining a positive attitude, and organizational culture in every aspect of your work.

Job Type:

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) This position is a remote position. Travel is required to visit accounts 2-3 days per week.

Compensation:

This position's compensation will be structured with a base salary, car allowance, and commission. Pay will be commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

3+ years, experience in Sales. Knowledge of the flooring industry and its various sales channels. Willingness to engage in various support tasks. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Basic computer skills (Windows, MS Excel, outlook). Class 5 driver's license. Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. Vehicle capable of all-seasons travel

Responsibilities

: Communicate effectively with customers and the sales team in a timely manner through various means such as email, phone, and text messages. Ensuring that all key and sensitive communication (pricing, timing, claims) are communicated clearly, in written form. Timely completion of tasks and customer requests. Timely communication of tasks and customer needs to the team for the best response time to the customer. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, including information about competing products, services, and pricing. Share this knowledge with your colleagues to ensure everyone is informed and aware. Conducting regular Product Knowledge (PK) presentations to create product and company awareness. Emphasizing product/service features and benefits, quoting prices, discussing credit terms, and preparing sales order forms. Maximize sales, you must promote products to various industry professionals, focusing on Specialty Flooring Retailers. Handle issues and complaints in a professional manner to effectively manage customer expectations. Build relationships with specific accounts and increase sales within the current client base. Building relationships within the industry to create new opportunities for growth and generating new customer. Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. Keeping accurate records including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation.
