Job purpose
The Eye Care Territory Manager is responsible for achieving all territory sales goals through the promotion, sale and support of company products or services. They will report to the National Sales Manager, Ophthalmics.
Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Leading one-on-one conversations with physicians and healthcare professionals to support approved product uses.
  • Engaging in discussions with medical professionals and skillfully advocating for our products' unique features and advantages, addressing any potential objections.
  • Serving as a crucial point of contact and knowledge hub for the Patient Benefits Program.
  • Planning and organizing speaker programs and other peer-to-peer activities in the region in collaboration with Medical.
  • Leading Lunch and Learns.
  • Communicating market intelligence to brand teams and management.
  • Preparation and implementation of Strategic Business Plans. Report on Territory Metrics and KPIs.
  • Attendance at Regional and National Conferences (as needed).
  • Timely and accurate completion of all administrative requirements.
  • Responsible for complying with Canadian drug regulations (Health Canada, Innovative Medicines Canada and Sun's policies) regarding field drug promotion.
Additional responsibilities apply to customer-facing roles only.
  • Report any adverse events received from customers regarding company products to the pharmacovigilance department/Drug Safety on the same day or the next business day.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in the ophthalmic field, are preferred.

  • Must possess strong business acumen.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all team members.
  • Must have the ability and commitment to travel, including occasional overnight stays when required.
  • Must be bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken, to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Objectif du poste
Le ou la responsable du territoire pour les soins oculaires a pour mission d'atteindre tous les objectifs de vente dans sa zone geographique en assurant la promotion, la vente et l'appui des produits ou services de l'entreprise. Cette personne se rapporte au directeur national des ventes - Ophtalmologie.
Responsabilites principales
  • Assurer une communication directe avec les medecins et le personnel soignant afin de promouvoir les indications des produits approuvees.
  • Contacter le personnel medical pour presenter de maniere competitive les caracteristiques et avantages des produits en gerant les objections.
  • Assurer une meilleure visibilite du programme pour les patients et agir comme point de contact central pour ce service.
  • Concevoir et mettre en place des seminaires et d'autres evenements educatifs pour les professionnels de la sante sur un territoire donne, en collaboration avec l'equipe medicale.
  • Animer des presentations Lunch and Learn .
  • Partager les informations sur la concurrence avec les equipes marketing et la direction.
  • Elaborer et executer un plan d'affaires strategique. Preparer et soumettre des rapports sur les indicateurs cles de performance (KPI) et les mesures du territoire.
  • Participer, le cas echeant, aux conferences regionales et nationales.
  • Assurer l'execution rigoureuse et opportune de toutes les formalites administratives.
  • Se conformer aux reglements canadiens regissant les medicaments (Sante Canada, Medicaments novateurs Canada) et aux politiques internes de l'entreprise concernant la promotion pharmaceutique sur le terrain.
Responsabilite supplementaire (Applicable uniquement aux roles en contact direct avec la clientele)
  • Informer le departement de pharmacovigilance/securite des medicaments de tout effet indesirable percu par les clients concernant les produits de l'entreprise des que possible, idealement le jour meme, et en tout cas au plus tard un jour ouvrable apres.
Qualifications
  • Titulaire d'un diplome universitaire de premier cycle et justifiant d'une experience professionnelle de deux ans minimum dans la vente de produits pharmaceutiques, idealement dans le domaine des soins ophtalmologiques.
  • Esprit de reussite et de construction, fierte de laisser un heritage derriere soi. Aime fonctionner dans des situations ambigues et demontre une grande collaboration. Perseverance, resilience et tenacite prouvees.
  • . Une initiative personnelle courageuse et un esprit d'engagement, ainsi que d'excellentes competences en resolution de problemes.

  • Formidable communicateur, il excelle a raconter des recits persuasifs en mettant l'accent sur les cas de patients les plus pertinents et en maximisant l'utilisation des produits.
  • Il possede la faculte de susciter l'adhesion a l'idee de tester les produits et d'apporter une valeur ajoutee grace a un soutien inebranlable.
  • Resume des accomplissements remarquables en matiere de ventes.
  • Capacite a etablir des liens avec le personnel medical, infirmier et auxiliaire dans les hopitaux, cliniques et cabinets medicaux.
  • Experience averee dans les mecanismes du systeme de sante, y compris les questions de remboursement (un atout).
  • Depassement professionnel; faculte a hierarchiser et a gerer efficacement son temps.
  • Maitrise des logiciels Word, Excel et PowerPoint.
  • Profond sens des affaires.
  • Aptitude a collaborer de maniere productive avec tous les collegues.
  • Presence et devouement pour des deplacements ponctuels avec des nuits occasionnelles en fonction des besoins.
