Territory Brand Specialist
to join our dynamic Sales team. Focused on flawless in-store execution and local brand engagement, this role supports key retail accounts across
Northern Alberta
. As the face of SNDL in the field, you will be responsible for executing merchandising standards, driving product visibility, delivering staff education, and supporting in-store activations and pop-up events.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, self-motivated professional with experience in retail, merchandising, or brand ambassadorship--particularly within the cannabis, CPG, or beverage alcohol sectors. Key Responsibilities
Retail Execution & Merchandising
Ensure SNDL products are merchandised to standard across all key retail accounts
Implement planograms, displays, signage, and promotional materials effectively
Monitor inventory levels, product freshness, and optimal shelf placement
Collaborate with store staff to secure premium shelf and display space
In-Store Activations & Pop-Up Support
Support the planning and execution of in-store activations, events, and pop-ups
Act as the on-site lead for SNDL-branded experiences, ensuring engaging, compliant, and professional representation
Coordinate event logistics, including setup, teardown, sampling materials, and product displays
Capture key insights and performance feedback from events to inform future activations
Brand Representation & Education
Serve as an on-site brand ambassador, building awareness and educating budtenders and retail teams on SNDL's product portfolio
Facilitate engaging product knowledge sessions and updates for store staff
Ensure brand guidelines and messaging are consistently represented at the store level
Drive excitement and confidence in SNDL products through authentic engagement
Relationship Management
Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with retail staff and store managers
Act as the frontline liaison for retail partner questions, concerns, and support needs
Identify and escalate store-level challenges impacting visibility, compliance, or performance
Insights & Reporting
Capture detailed reports on merchandising execution, event outcomes, and competitor activity
Document retail feedback and trends to inform territory strategy and head office planning
Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and internal reporting platforms
Qualifications
Education & Experience
1-3 years of experience in retail, merchandising, event activation, or brand ambassadorship
Cannabis, CPG, or beverage alcohol industry experience preferred
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, or a related field is an asset
Skills & Competencies
Energetic and confident with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of execution
Comfortable leading in-store events and engaging with customers and retail staff
Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools for reporting and communication
Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, field-based environment
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
Availability for regular travel across
Northern Alberta
, including evenings and weekends for retail events
Ability to lift and transport activation materials (e.g., displays, signage)
Must pass a background check in accordance with cannabis regulations
Working Conditions
